House Rules

We are not big fans of rules, but because we want all of our guests to fully enjoy their time at the property, we ask that you become familiar with and follow the rules below. We hope that you find the guidelines common sense and understand that they are only meant to protect your experience in the space and maintain the property in great shape so all guests can enjoy it in the future.

- Please, do not drive past the house. The driveway leads to our neighbor's home and is a dead end. To keep his family happy, we have promised no traffic will end at their property. So please, ensure you understand the home is the first one on the left as you enter the property. It is made of brick and it has a camper next to the garage. If you drive past it, you will end up in our neighbor's yard. Please become familiar with the property by visiting the pictures and check-in page prior to your arrival.

-Do not plan weddings, family reunions, or any events without proper disclosure to the host. This will ensure the property meets safety requirements and occupancy limits for your event. Improperly planned events will trigger the termination of your stay without the possibility of a refund.

-Only house-broken and hypoallergenic dogs allowed; sorry, no cats. Please coordinate pet travel and fees with us prior to arrival. The Pet fee is set to $50 per pet per night for longer stays. Please disclose your pet. Undisclosed pets will trigger an immediate pet fee plus the termination of your stay without the possibility of a refund.

-Do not park on any unmarked grassy areas. Designated parking spots will be marked by a piece of landscape timber. Please help us protect the landscape and irrigation system. Parking in the wrong area could damage the sprinkler system, for which repairs you will be liable.

-Do not run the A/C while the doors or windows are open; this will cause the A/C unit to freeze and require services for which you are liable. The tech's visit will be charged at the $250 per visit rate in addition to the repair costs.

-Do not engage in illegal activities on the premises—no drug use is allowed whatsoever. This will trigger the termination of your stay without the possibility of a refund.

-Do not exceed the allowed number of guests for the space. This is a safety issue and will not be tolerated. Breaking this rule will cause you to be asked to vacate the premises and forgo a refund.

-No parties, no outside visitors, no overnight guests without previous approval from your host. This will also trigger an immediate termination of your stay without the possibility of a refund.

-Do not smoke or discard cigarette butts inside the home; please use the provided ashtrays and do not smoke near the entrances as the odor still makes it inside the home. Any evidence of such will trigger the termination of your stay without the possibility of a refund plus an additional cleaning fee of $250.

-Do not eat in the bedrooms to avoid attracting ants or other critters.

-We spray non-toxic insecticide to prevent bugs every quarter, but be aware that due to our proximity to the marsh and the humidity around, palmetto bugs, mosquitoes, flies, and gnats are in their natural habitat. Please keep all doors closed at all times to prevent them from affecting your stay. The occasional palmetto bug or spider will come out to die thanks to our preventive measures, but please, understand that an occasional encounter might happen.

-Do not engage in underage drinking or smoking on the premises.

-Respect quiet hours of 8 pm to 8 am.

-Do not play loud music on the premises.

-Do not remove or borrow any private property without the host’s permission.

-Do not engage in any physical or verbal altercation on the premises.

Breaking any of the above rules is grounds for immediate dismissal from the premises without a reimbursement due to a breach of trust.

Lastly, we encourage you to purchase travel insurance to deal with unforeseen travel issues and cancellations

The space
Layered interior that transcends time. Just enough patina throughout with a balance between old and new feeling fresh and surprising.

While here, you will enjoy a +3,000 square feet home with an amazing layout that sits on an acre of land. The home is close enough to the highway to make the drive (or Uber ride) to Downtown a short 10-minute hop. Or you can dip your toes in the sand at North Tybee Beach in just 15-minutes. The best part - you can leave it all behind at the end of the day and relax in our serene property - barely hearing the sounds of traffic or any of our neighbors.

The home boasts 5 bedrooms, nine beds, and three bathrooms. On the ground floor, you have a master suite with a king-size bed and an attached bathroom. The master bathroom has a walk-in shower, a jetted tub, and a double vanity mirror. Across the hallway, you will find a guest king bedroom. The ground floor also includes a second full bathroom, the living room, kitchen, and dining room. Adjacent to the kitchen is a mudroom with a washer and dryer set and garage access for convenient off/on-loading.

On the second level, you will have three beedrooms, one full bathroom with a double vanity, and a den with a 65" smart TV to entertain guests of all ages. Two of the bedrooms have two queen-sized beds each. The third, and largest bedroom, has two queen beds and a double bed. They are positioned in away that makes the room feel large and inviting - not congested at all!

This property is best suited for travelers who want to enjoy all the great sights, foods, and drinks the Hostess City has to offer without being subjected to the obnoxious sounds and sights of the city itself. You will get to have a great time Downtown or at the beach, then retreat to a place that looks and feels as if you have completely left the city - even if you are only minutes away!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the house and all of its amenities. There are several locked closets for which you have not been given access. They just hold our clean linen and towels for the property's turnover. But don't worry - you will have enough of each to last your stay in addition to free access to a large washer and dryer set.

You can use the garage to park your vehicles, off-load or load your car, or simply play our arcade style basketball hoop.

There is also a Airstream camper on the driveway. It is also used as a vacation rental, but it is not included in this listing. There is a likelihood that it will be occupied during your stay; however, those guests have been asked to respect your privacy. They are only allowed in their assigned parking spot and the camper itself.
Additional notes
The driveway that leads to the house is shared with one other house. Theirs is at the end of the driveway and can barely be seen from the property. We ask that our guests don't drive past the first brick house on the left. That will lead you into their driveway and turning around is difficult, especially for larger vehicles.

There's a maximum of six vehicles allowed to park here at any time. Please do not park on any unmarked grassy areas - this will help prevent damaging the sprinkler system.

Please be aware that even though we spray for bugs on a quarterly basis, you might see palmetto bugs, wasps, and other insects during your stay. They usually come out to die, but please do your best to keep them out of the house by keeping the windows and doors shut at all times, only eating at the bar or the dining room, and keeping trash in the trash can.

The house is in one of the most desirable, quiet, and pristine areas in Savannah - otherwise referred to as "The Islands." You will be centrally located just 10-minutes from Downtown Savannah, 15-minutes from the beach at Tybee Island, and just a couple of minutes from Walmart, Publix, Gas Stations, Docks, Restaurants, and Bars. Most homes are tucked into the Marsh, while ours is towards the front - virtually leaving us with no neighbors to the left or right of the home. Still, it is a quiet residential neighborhood, so we ask that all noise is kept at a low level and that the quiet hours of 8pm to 8am are respected.
Getting around
The house is conveniently located halfway between Tybee Island (15-min) and Downtown Savannah (10-min). You can easily Uber/Lyft to either side if you're not interested in driving around - but you will definitely need transportation to get around as the roadways are not walkable due to the lack of sidewalks. You can certainly go for a morning stroll on the secondary roads here as they are mostly quiet during the day.

There is a very nice Publix grocery store approximately three minutes from the house. In the event of an emergency, you can go to Urgent Care 24/7 in Whitemarsh (6-minute drive). The Chatham County Police Precinct is approximately 2.5-miles. And the closest fire emergency station is 1.5-miles away.
